so my parents are trying to buy me a house in denton, tx. and for some reason, at first, they were told that they would have to put a 20% down. and today, we were told that we would have to make a 25% down with a 6.5 interest. this is what wells fargo said. i don’t understand why they keep changing the numbers.

so my question is, is it worth looking for other lenders? will it make a difference? or will they just give us the same numbers? and if it will make a difference, where do i even start? please help.

If you went through Hurricanes Katrina & Rita? They offered it to me. Since I like my school up here in Denton, TX, I’m afraid to move back to New Orleans. Also, my brother said that many people are still struggling in New Orleans. This FEMA program will pay your air fare/train fare, rental car, moving equipment & everything. But I think you have to pay for it yourself & then show them receipts & they’ll reimburse you for it, if I’m understanding correctly. If I decide to stay here in North Texas, do you think they might still give me assistance? They’re offering assistance up until Feb. 29, 2008 for both disasters. I feel that it’s unfair that over 75% of my belongings were either looted/lost or damaged, & they didn’t give me the ,000 in contents that I deserved. They’re supposedly offering up to ,000 in total federal aid.

The pressure I have to go through with new trends is that, I’m so poor that I don’t have the $$ to get all these "special" things. People bash me for listening to old music & watching old movies & TV shows. So when an old song (throwback joint) pops on the radio, I’m supposed to turn it off, right?

As an adult, it’s a hard choice between being banned from renting from Enterprise Rent-a-Car, & getting wrongfully arrested because someone scammed me.

With the Enterprise situation, I was on my way to school (university), & she (my sister) locked me in the house ON PURPOSE, & thought it was funny. She’s a woman in her 40’s. So, I had to rush, but I wasn’t speeding. I panicked, & the car crashed. Now, they tell me I can’t rent from there for the rest of my life, just because she wanted to act retarded.

With the scam, I was trying to sell my camcorder online to have $$ to pay certain fees out of my tuition. & this guy posed as a female model & sent me 0 & wanted me to Western Union the 0 back, since I was selling it for 0. I didn’t know. & come to find out it was a fake check from a company that never existed. I went to cash the thing, & I got arrested & they were gonna make me serve 10 yrs. in FEDERAL prison for forgery. The cops here are racists. The natives here in Denton, TX are. Some of them, not all. In fact, I had to deal with a racist bus driver. The cops didn’t have to take me to jail last yr.. They were supposed to take me to my house & let me show them the proof of the documentation.

Also, a guy sold me a broke car for ,500. & come to find out, the car wasn’t legally in his name. No wonder he jetted off so fast!

OK: As a child, I had NUMEROUS wrongful punishments. OK. The former foster mom punished me from my high school Sr. prom that was the following May. It was the November before, even before Thanksgiving. She punished me for having a Tourette’s outburst. That’s not fair. All in all, I get wrongful punishments & abuse every day of my life, but these were the WORST! I’m 25 now.

This is how someone else responded. Well, a WHOLE bunch of people ganged up on me. They don’t even know the situation. & they didn’t even TRY to read thoroughly, what happened.

ok….. you can NOT be serious….. How old were you for the check scam? I simply can not wrap my head around how a person can fall for that BULL****! Seriously! Did it ever occur to you that if YOU could cash her freakin check that SHE could cash it her damn self? It doesn’t even make sense. With all due respect – That doesn’t make the cops racist, it makes you a knucklehead!!! As for the lady locking you in the house…what kind of house only locks from the inside?? And you did NOT have to rush. You could have called the rental car place and told them you were gonna be late AND it’s not a crime to be late for school. Buying a car…. Did it occur to you to ask for ID and a TITLE???? Are you really this dumb? I assure you I’m TRYING not to say this in the meanest way I can think of (because you are leaving yourself WIDE OPEN!!!!!), but seriously… TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND STOP LOOKING FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO BLAME. Everything you griped about was your own fault. Just take a minute to stop before you act…. We have ALL driven a rental car like it was stolen…but don’t blame someone when you wreck it because you were speeding and reckless. Thank your lucky stars you didn’t kill anyone (including yourself) and next time you rent a car PAY THE EXTRA MONEY FOR THE INSURANCE. It’s not because you’re…whatever race you are… it’s because you’re not thinking!!!! It’s one thing to feel bad for the dirty guy outside the store asking for money, but surely you knew the "model" could cash her own freaking check…. How does that even make sense. I feel like someone should save you from yourself.
I’m about to cry right now. My chest is hurting & tightening, I feel nauseated.
& I had FULL coverage insurance on that car, too.
The people took advantage of me having a mental problem, & they were discriminating. That’s why they told me I couldn’t rent anymore. & yes, I did have FULL coverage insurance on that rental car.
Obviously people here aren’t reading the details carefully. Midnight, I said that I panicked. I did NOT speed!

It’s quite odd with this schizophrenic weather here in Denton, TX. We had an unusual 6 inches of snow yesterday, & all the schools & everything is closed. A couple of days ago it was warm enough to wear shorts & go swimming. This is pretty odd for it to be March & snowy.

I’m bored with nothing to do & no place to go. I’m home alone.

Donald Rhea, 50 was charged with vehicular manslaughter in the death of a good samaritan. Betty Saunders, 34 of Lynchburg was pronounced dead at the scene when she was struck by the vehicle operated by Mr. Rhea of Denton TX. The accident occurred on December 17th in The Peaks Apartments parking lot as Mrs. Saunders was unloading food and presents for a needy family that she was made aware of from her church friend.
Mrs. Arlene Jones stated that it was she and not Mrs. Saunders that was on the church committee to deliver to the family of Mrs. Julie Ross. Mrs. Jones car would not start and she asked Mrs. Saunders to make the delivery with her as she was to be in the area that same day. Mrs. Jones had just went to the door of Mrs. Ross as they watched what occurred next in horror. Witnesses said the entire event happened so fast as Mr. Rhea’s vehicle just missed 3 other parked cars as it swerved and then sped up before it struck Mrs. Saunders who was outside bending over beside her car. “It was like he planned to hit her, the parking lot was almost empty,” George Davis a neighbor stated. “What was really strange is, there was a truck parked just behind her and it moved seconds before the car struck her, otherwise that woman would be alive, she never saw what hit her.”
What really makes this tragedy so surreal is Mr. Rhea is Julie Ross’s father and was bringing surprise Christmas gifts to his grandchildren and had never been there before in his life.( He flew in) Mr. Rhea (uninjured) was overheard to say at the scene, “I turned in the lot and a car cut me off, I swerved to miss it and then my rental car just took off and I couldn’t control it.” No one else saw the alleged car that cut him off.
Mrs. Saunders lost her husband 7 months ago on the 17th in an auto accident involving a drunk driver. *(Unbelievable as this sounds, the surviving drunk driver that killed her husband is the sister of Mrs. Ross and daughter to Mr. Rhea, however that was not known to Mrs. Saunders.)
Mrs. Saunders is survived by her 2 minor children and the 17th was her twin daughters birthday, the day of her demise. ( The cake was in her car)
PS; Mrs. Jones stated to us she got home and her car started right up. She took it to her garage and they had no explanation.
We investigated this further from a letter we received and thought it was worth a second look. The odds of this happening are amazing we think.
This is an accident we dare not try to explain why, but it was an accident.

My husband is a big fan of this beer call Old peculier by Theakston Legendary Ales in the Uk, we were able to buy it in a little shop by our house in Denton Tx, but they don’t sell it any more. I really want to find this beer, its his favorite. If somebody knows where can I go in the Dallas area please let me know.

PLEASE ANSWER THIS!!

My parents have retired and moved and now we have to find someone to take their old mobile home to either salvage or refurbish(and no, a box of matched has been suggested by my fiance already, is not possible). I have tried looking all over the internet for suggestions and each has been a dead end. We dont want any $$, we just want it off our hands.We live in South Denton Tx. Thanks in advance.

I want to have a kite flying competition in a small community, it will be mainly to draw people to the area, and see our beautiful homes for sale, with the down turn in real estate these days, one must be creative. As the community is just out side of Denton TX and North of Dallas, I thought this might be something fun that people might find really interest to come see, if not participate in, and something that actually would have alife longer than a year. Can anyone help and what do you think. Or just tell me to "go fly a kite." I really would appreciate any help you can give me.

Oh, I have already done two runs for our other community, one coming up in Dec. Jingle Bell Run and one in May. 5k.

In this community I wanted to do something different. this kite thing and maybe a 10K or 1/2 marathon or just with a 1 mile mom and baby stroller walk. You helped before….I hope again…thanks

I am looking for a retail shop which sales uncut wick pairs of tappered candles. I found some on the web but they sale like 6 pairs of one color in a box. I am looking for about 8 pair in different colors that will hang on a display in my kitchen.
