Amid falling house values, our County Property Tax Assessor (Texas Denton County) has continued to increase our home TAXES for 2007 and 2008!!! We protest to lower the Assessed Value every year but the reductions are too small and unfair. We are so tired and disgusted by unfair taxation every way we turn.

Is there any USA town or area that has no schools therefore charges no school taxes?? School tax is 56% of the total home taxes. We appreciate any helpful solutions and tips.

Has any home builder or developer tried to zone certain areas for residents who do not use any school and have contributed enough to schools that they have never used?
Any new US towns with no schools ready to start charging school taxes for a while?

I believe the County has over appraised our home, I live in Texas Denton county

I would prefer land near north dallas, Collin County, Denton County, any water front would be great.

I live in Texas (more specifically the city of Frisco, in Denton county, the vehicle in question resides here as well) and I have come across a classic MG MGB Roadster that has been abandoned on a foreclosed property that we were considering purchasing, the real estate agent has confirmed that it is abandoned and that he and the deed holder of the property have no problem with us towing it away for a restoration. My question is, what do I have to do to actually take ownership of, and title the vehicle?
