I accepted a job in Lewisville and I am looking to buy a home – probably in the Little Elm area. I have family in Pilot point and want to be between work & play. I prefer suburban living in a kind town that still offers things to do (sports bars, shopping, outdoor activities) within 5 miles. My price range is 0k. I hear traffic can be bad in the area. What’s normal commute like to Lewisville? Could this be a good town for me?

Last weekend my hubby & I went to Denton Texas to pick up my hubby’s son at his home. As court orders papers said he can be pick up after June 13. So my hubby talk to her so she can have his things ready & my steph-son was excited. We got there around 9 am on friday & no one was home we waited & nothing time passed by & we decide to as an advice from the police & they can’t do anything unless she is home. We explain that she knew cuz we call her when we were in our way we live 14 hours away we were more than half way. Any ways we stay there for 2 days & she never went to her home we keep calling but she didn’t answer. Is there something that my hubby can do she is violation their kids life she doesn’t allowed my hubby 2 speak w. his son unless she wants to. What can it be done so he can have communication & be able to have him for the summer as papers says?? What she did is wrong but is not fair for my hubby or his son..any advices??

If you went through Hurricanes Katrina & Rita? They offered it to me. Since I like my school up here in Denton, TX, I’m afraid to move back to New Orleans. Also, my brother said that many people are still struggling in New Orleans. This FEMA program will pay your air fare/train fare, rental car, moving equipment & everything. But I think you have to pay for it yourself & then show them receipts & they’ll reimburse you for it, if I’m understanding correctly. If I decide to stay here in North Texas, do you think they might still give me assistance? They’re offering assistance up until Feb. 29, 2008 for both disasters. I feel that it’s unfair that over 75% of my belongings were either looted/lost or damaged, & they didn’t give me the ,000 in contents that I deserved. They’re supposedly offering up to ,000 in total federal aid.

It’s quite odd with this schizophrenic weather here in Denton, TX. We had an unusual 6 inches of snow yesterday, & all the schools & everything is closed. A couple of days ago it was warm enough to wear shorts & go swimming. This is pretty odd for it to be March & snowy.

I’m bored with nothing to do & no place to go. I’m home alone.

I moved here 8 months ago, & the transportation is very limited, so I can’t go anywhere, & it’s very inconvenient for me to try to get a job. I go to UNT, & if I were to get a night shift job, I wouldn’t have a way back home. Here on campus, I can’t find a boyfriend. If I stay here forever, I might find myself single & unemployed forever.

I’m scared & home alone.

Coach Callihan was hired to take the Huskers back to the Glory days. This will be his 4th season with the Huskers, and he might just be where he needs to be talent wise. Can this west-coast offense finally work in the Midwest? They’ve lost QB Zac Taylor, but he’s replaced by Sam Keller, who has experience being a transfer from Arizona (State?). Brandon Jackson was lost to the NFL Draft, Marlon Lucky was injured in the Spring game, and who knows if Maurice Purify will be allowed to play at all. Those were all their huge offensive stars from last year!! Their defense lost Adam Carriker to the NFL, but will recieve a much needed upgrade at CB with Bowman returning from injury. Defense should improve. All said, the Huskers have a TOUGH schedual, playing USC at home and TEXAS and WAKE FOREST on the road. Plus, there are several upset alerts in Missouri, Kansas, Texas A&M. I think they will win the north again, defeat TEXAS in the BG12 championship, and get a BCS BOWL (2 losses means no NC)
